When someone is missing a tooth, different people will be affected in different ways. Some may be concerned about the appearance, some may find it difficult to chew, while for others the problems may develop in time as the remaining teeth move into unfavorable positions.
One method to treat this situation is to have a Dental Implant. A Dental Implant is a medical screw made from surgical titanium, which is inserted into the bone where the missing tooth used to be. Once healing is complete, a porcelain tooth can be attached to the Implant and normal function will be restored perhaps for life. Dental implants can also be used to give better grip and support to dentures.
CPDG is able to provide all aspects of Dental Implants in-house from the surgery to the final teeth. Call our staff to arrange a consultation appointment and see if you are ready for new teeth.
It is common to have problems with wisdom teeth. These teeth are usually the last ones we get as an adult; and push through at the very back of the mouth. Often times the teeth can become IMPACTED, which means “trapped” underneath the teeth in front.
Pain can result as the teeth try to push through; and in the worst cases, can cause damage to the teeth in front. Gum infections are also common. The best form of treatment in many cases is to have the teeth removed.
CPDG provides many options for the removal of wisdom teeth, including under General Anaesthesia at both the Sunnybank Private Hospital and Emerald Hospital, or under IV sedation in our treatment rooms. Simple cases may be treated under Local Anaesthetic also in our treatment rooms.
