Esther Cheng

Esther was born in Perth, but spent much of her life in Brisbane. A graduate of Brisbane State High School and the University of Queensland, she was awarded the ultimate recognition of success with first class honours and a University Medal for Dentistry. Esther joined the Practice in 2004 following a recommendation from our then visiting orthodontist (Dr Richard Olive), and has developed a strong and loyal following. Esther became a Director in 2008. Esther served on the Australian Dental Association of Queensland (ADAQ) Council from 2009 to 2013 and volunteered as Convener of the Recent Graduates and Students Committee of ADAQ Council from 2010-2012. Esther embraces all facets of General Dentistry. Spending time with her family, reading, photography and travel are just a few of the things Esther enjoys after work.

Daniel Robbins

Growing up on both the North & South East suburbs of Brisbane, Dan was schooled at the Anglican Church Grammar School prior to starting tertiary studies at the University of Queensland. Initially studying Science, Dan earned his Honours in Science through researching mobility of different types of human cancers while tutoring/teaching Anatomy to the third year UQ Department of Anatomy students. He then commenced Dental Studies gaining honours. Eventually the life of a student ended, where he joined Coopers Plains Dental Surgery in 2005. While enjoying general Dentistry, Dan’s passion focuses on Root Canal Therapy. Family, cycling, tennis, surfing and any activity that takes him outdoors are high on his list of things-to-do when not in the surgery. Daniel married the love of his life Chloe in 2007 and has welcomed two beautiful baby girls, Charlotte (2008) and Alexandra (2011), into this world.

Jonathan Cichero

Jonathan’s developmental years were spent in Beenleigh before boarding school at Brisbane Grammar for five years. He had a year spent travelling in Germany as a Rotary Exchange student before also studying Dentistry at the University of Queensland. Jonathan joined the Royal Australian Air Force and served in Melbourne and Townsville before returning to Brisbane. Jonathan thrives on the surgical side of Dentistry, with a special interest in wisdom teeth and dental implants. Following the successful completion of his Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Pain Control and Conscious Sedation), he provides twilight anaesthetic services for the other members in the practice.

Orani Lancaster

Orani grew up in a small town in New South Wales, and has lived in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville and Hobart. She has recently returned to Brisbane and has joined the team at CP Dental. Orani completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at James Cook University, is a member of the Australian Dental Association and enjoys all areas of general dentistry. Outside of dentistry, Orani enjoys spending time with family and friends, health and fitness, exploring the outdoors, challenging jigsaw puzzles and taking up new crafts and hobbies.

Shianne Carmichael

Shianne was born in Taiwan, lived in Vancouver Canada, and settled in Brisbane. In 2012, she graduated from the University of Queensland, and began her dental career in Townsville. Since then, she has worked in both the private and public sectors where she gained experience and developed skills in all aspects of dentistry. Preventative and conservative practice have been major interests in her career. Shianne is well known for her gentle touch and calming presence. Additionally, she is comfortable treating patients in both English and Chinese Mandarin. Outside of work, Shianne enjoys spending time with her 2 little boys, growing fruits and succulents, and is always up for a games night with friends.

Brendan Chiem

Brendan was born and raised in Brisbane. He completed his Master of Dentistry at Griffith University on the Gold Coast and has trained in rural towns of Queensland (Cherbourg and Stanthorpe). With his gentle and friendly manner, Brendan strives to provide a positive, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for his patients. Brendan enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular interest in oral surgery, endodontics, and aesthetic dentistry. He is committed to attending continuing professional development courses to keep up to date with the newest techniques and technologies. Outside of dentistry, Brendan enjoys running, exploring nature, travelling, photography, and discovering new food places.

Adrian Malisano

Adrian grew up in Brisbane where he later completed studies at the University of Queensland. He earned a Bachelor of Science with honours degree in human anatomy before continuing onto his Dental studies where he achieved first class honours. Through his passion for health and wellbeing, Adrian is driven to deliver high quality, patient centered care. Beyond dentistry, Adrian is an avid swimmer, competing at both state and national level competitions; and is the proud father of two cats.

Amy Bechly

Amy has had a passion for dentistry since she was very young thanks to her own experiences with orthodontics. However, Amy has a broad range of interests and decided to pursue careers in digital media/ animation and physics straight after high school. After completing a Bachelors of Physics and Mathematics (QUT), and 2 years of a Bachelor of Games Design (Animation), Amy decided to follow her childhood dream and go back to university to study Dentistry at University of Queensland. Amy is so excited to finally be doing what she loves and providing care to the community. She is a fun and bubbly individual who loves to help wherever possible to improve her patient's health, smile and confidence. Amy's other passions include singing, acrylic jewellery making, sewing, gaming, reading, and most importantly, spending time with her beautiful horse, Shadow.

Thanh Tran

Thanh was born in Vietnam and migrated to Australia with his family when very young. He completed secondary education in Brisbane, and later studied and graduated from University of Queensland. He completed his dental training at Griffith University, Gold Coast. Thanh practices all aspects of general dentistry, and with his calm and gentle nature, Thanh enjoys interacting with his patients. Outside of dentistry, Thanh likes cooking and entertaining for families and friends.
