Esther Cheng

Esther was born in Perth, but spent much of her life in Brisbane. A graduate of Brisbane State High School and the University of Queensland, she was awarded the ultimate recognition of success with first class honours and a University Medal for Dentistry. Esther joined the Practice in 2004 following a recommendation from our then visiting orthodontist (Dr Richard Olive), and has developed a strong and loyal following. Esther became a Director in 2008. Esther served on the Australian Dental Association of Queensland (ADAQ) Council from 2009 to 2013 and volunteered as Convener of the Recent Graduates and Students Committee of ADAQ Council from 2010-2012. Esther embraces all facets of General Dentistry. Spending time with her family, reading, photography and travel are just a few of the things Esther enjoys after work.

Shianne Carmichael

Shianne was born in Taiwan, lived in Vancouver Canada, and settled in Brisbane. In 2012, she graduated from the University of Queensland, and began her dental career in Townsville. Since then, she has worked in both the private and public sectors where she gained experience and developed skills in all aspects of dentistry. Preventative and conservative practice have been major interests in her career. Shianne is well known for her gentle touch and calming presence. Additionally, she is comfortable treating patients in both English and Chinese Mandarin. Outside of work, Shianne enjoys spending time with her 2 little boys, growing fruits and succulents, and is always up for a games night with friends.

Brendan Chiem

Brendan was born and raised in Brisbane. He completed his Master of Dentistry at Griffith University on the Gold Coast and has trained in rural towns of Queensland (Cherbourg and Stanthorpe). With his gentle and friendly manner, Brendan strives to provide a positive, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for his patients. Brendan enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular interest in oral surgery, endodontics, and aesthetic dentistry. He is committed to attending continuing professional development courses to keep up to date with the newest techniques and technologies. Outside of dentistry, Brendan enjoys running, exploring nature, travelling, photography, and discovering new food places.

Adrian Malisano

Adrian grew up in Brisbane where he later completed studies at the University of Queensland. He earned a Bachelor of Science with honours degree in human anatomy before continuing onto his Dental studies where he achieved first class honours. Through his passion for health and wellbeing, Adrian is driven to deliver high quality, patient centered care. Beyond dentistry, Adrian is an avid swimmer, competing at both state and national level competitions; and is the proud father of two cats.

Amy Bechly

Amy has had a passion for dentistry from a very young age, sparked by her own orthodontic adventures. That said, she’s never been one to stick to just one path—after high school she explored the worlds of digital media, animation, and even physics. After completing a Bachelor of Physics and Mathematics (QUT) and two years of a Bachelor of Games Design (Animation), Amy decided it was time to circle back to her childhood dream and returned to university to study Dentistry at the University of Queensland.

Amy is absolutely thrilled to be doing what she loves and caring for the community. She’s known for being fun, bubbly, and always happy to help, with a genuine passion for improving her patients’ health, smiles, and confidence. Outside the clinic, Amy keeps busy with reading, gaming, attending as many music concerts as possible, and running a charity ball and market every year to benefit Hummingbird House - Queensland's only children's hospice.

Michael Curtis

Dr Michael enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has also completed post graduate studies in Dental Implants at the University of Melbourne (2017 PG Dip Clin Dent – Implants). He manages to integrate his passion for technology and his attention to detail into his clinical work particularly in the field of dental implantology to get great results. He is an active member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and published research recently in the field of 3D printing in dentistry. Dr Michael regularly participates in professional education to stay abreast of updates in his field and he recently returned from a short course at Harvard University in Boston, USA.
Outside of the clinic, Michael enjoys getting outdoors particularly on the water with his 2 sons, daughter and long suffering but well-travelled wife.

Eshaan Mittal

Eshaan grew up in Brisbane and completed his Bachelor of Dental Health Science at Griffith University, where he also earned a Master of Dentistry with Distinction. From an early age, he was driven by a desire to positively impact people's lives, blending his passion for health and wellness into a rewarding career in dentistry. While Eshaan enjoys the variety that general practice offers, he has a special interest in preventive care, aesthetic dentistry and oral surgery. His calm and personalised approach ensures every patient experiences a comfortable and stress-free visit. In his spare time, Eshaan likes to stay active by playing sports, working out in the gym and exploring the great outdoors. He also loves to travel, discover new cuisines and experience Brisbane's growing culinary scene.

Victoria Zhou

Victoria was born and raised in Singapore and moved to Australia at the age of 14 to pursue her studies. Now based on the Gold Coast, she completed her Master of Dentistry with Distinction at Griffith University.

Victoria is known for her gentle, calm, and reassuring approach to patient care. Her cheerful and approachable nature helps patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their dental visits. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular passion for helping patients regain confidence in their smiles.

Outside of the clinic, Victoria enjoys pilates, spending time with her cat, and travelling whenever she can — you’ll often find her on a plane exploring somewhere new. Victoria is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

George Chen

Dr George Chen has had a long history of working to bring a better smile to people and communities from all corners of Queensland. Dr George has joined CP Dental Coopers Plains after his adventures as part of the RFDS Dental Service for the past few years, and he had also previously worked as a dentist in multiple public and private roles. He has provided care in a wide range of locations, from Mossman to the north, Dajarra to the West, and everywhere in between for the past 15 years.

Dr George had completed his dental training in University of Queensland, and has a strong focus on providing a comfortable and soothing environment for his patients, from the very young children on their first visit to the dentist, to the wise and young at heart enjoying their retirement years. He believes in working with his patients to achieve a whiter smile and a healthier mouth, and ensuring that everyone’s experience in his care is a positive one.

Beyond dentistry, Dr George is a huge fan of exploring hiking trails with friends and family, and enjoying cool swims especially on hot days. Dr George is fluent in English and Mandarin and will guide you in your dental care each step of the way.

Chloe Uan

Dr Chloe Uan was born and raised in Penang, Malaysia, where she completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Malaya. After practising in both public and private clinics in Adelaide for 10 years, she relocated to Brisbane with her family in 2020.

Known for her gentle and friendly manner, and her genuinely patient-centred approach, Dr Chloe is committed to providing a comfortable and stress-free experience for her patients. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular passion for promoting oral health through preventive care and helping patients regain confidence in their smiles through aesthetic dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Chloe is a dedicated Joey Scout leader alongside her two sons. She also enjoys yoga, working out at the gym, and travelling. She is fluent in English, Malay, and Mandarin.

Ji Hwang (Prosthetist)

Ji is a compassionate and skilled dental prosthetist with a decade of experience in the field. She is dedicated to providing personalised care and strives to create smiles that meet each patient's individual goals.

Born in South Korea, and raised in Brisbane, Ji earned a Bachelor of Dental Technology and a Graduate Diploma of Dental Prosthetics at Griffith University. Her academic excellence was recognised with the Karl Ring Bursary prize, awarded for achieving the highest GPA.

Outside of work, Ji enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, and taking her dog to the beach.

Eric Truong

After growing up in Sydney, Dr. Eric moved to the Gold Coast to complete his Master of Dentistry at Griffith University. Now practicing in Brisbane, he is known by his patients as a gentle and highly empathetic clinician who strives to make every appointment as comfortable as possible.

Dr. Eric’s passion lies in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, with a focus on clear aligners and porcelain restorations. His dedication to creating both aesthetic and functional bites is backed by advanced training, including a Post-Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Orthodontics (Lon) for Invisalign.

He is also currently enhancing his expertise in restorative care by undertaking a Post-Graduate Diploma in Oral Implantology.

Martin Leung

Dr Martin Leung is passionate about helping patients feel confident and comfortable in their smiles, with a special focus on dental implants. He brings over two decades of experience to his practice, having graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Sydney in 2004.

Dr Leung’s interest in implant dentistry has taken him around the world to further his training, including completing an Advanced Program in Implant Dentistry at New York University in the USA. He is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), one of the highest recognitions in the field, giving his patients confidence that they’re in experienced, highly qualified hands.

Whether you need a single dental implant or wisdom teeth removed, Dr Leung takes the time to explain your options clearly and make sure you feel at ease every step of the way.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr Leung remains deeply connected to dental education. He works closely with oral surgery students at the University of Queensland Dental School, helping train the next generation of dentists, and regularly shares his knowledge at dental conferences around the world. Patients can feel reassured knowing they’re being cared for by Martin who stays right at the forefront of his field.

Daniel Robbins

Growing up on both the North & South East suburbs of Brisbane, Dan was schooled at the Anglican Church Grammar School prior to starting tertiary studies at the University of Queensland. Initially studying Science, Dan earned his Honours in Science through researching mobility of different types of human cancers while tutoring/teaching Anatomy to the third year UQ Department of Anatomy students. He then commenced Dental Studies gaining honours. Eventually the life of a student ended, where he joined Coopers Plains Dental Surgery in 2005. While enjoying general Dentistry, Dan’s passion focuses on Root Canal Therapy. Family, cycling, tennis, surfing and any activity that takes him outdoors are high on his list of things-to-do when not in the surgery. Daniel married the love of his life Chloe in 2007 and has welcomed two beautiful baby girls, Charlotte (2008) and Alexandra (2011), into this world.
