Ryan Aspinall

Ryan was born in Mackay before relocating to Weipa, a small mining town in Far North Queensland known for its awesome fishing. Ryan schooled in Weipa, before moving to Cairns where he completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at James Cook University. Ryan made the move to Emerald, where he joined the CP Dental Emerald Team in 2016. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with special interests in restorative and fixed prosthodontics. Away from dentistry, Ryan enjoys travelling; playing soccer, cricket and golf.

Caitlin McCamley

Caitlin grew up and was educated in Emerald. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at James Cook University Cairns, graduating with an Academic Medal. During this time she attended placements in Barcaldine, Cairns, Darwin and Pirlangimpi (Tiwi Islands). Caitlin is delighted to be home. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and finds satisfaction in creating a relaxing environment for her patients. Outside dentistry she enjoys travelling to experience new cultures, painting, and spending time with friends, family and her dog Dora

Jonathan Cichero

Jonathan’s developmental years were spent in Beenleigh before boarding school at Brisbane Grammar for five years. He had a year spent travelling in Germany as a Rotary Exchange student before also studying Dentistry at the University of Queensland. Jonathan joined the Royal Australian Air Force and served in Melbourne and Townsville before returning to Brisbane. Jonathan thrives on the surgical side of Dentistry, with a special interest in wisdom teeth and dental implants. Following the successful completion of his Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Pain Control and Conscious Sedation), he provides twilight anaesthetic services for the other members in the practice.

Jack McCamley

Jack McCamley

Jack grew up on a small cattle property west of Emerald. After graduating from Marist College, he moved to Cairns, where he completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at JCU. During this time, he attended clinical placements in Cairns, Townsville and Launceston. Jack enjoys all aspects of dentistry and places high importance on a patient-centred approach. Outside of dentistry, Jack loves travelling, music, NRL and spending time with friends and family

Sophie Phillips

After graduating from Brisbane Girls Grammar, Sophie embarked on her tertiary education earning a Bachelor of Science from UQ and a research Masters in Environmental Toxicology from QUT. After having long-term positive experiences with dentistry as a patient, Sophie went back to University achieving a Bachelor of Dental Health Science and Masters of Dentistry from Griffith University. Sophie enjoys all aspects of general dentistry placing the utmost importance on patient comfort and experience.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys spending time with friends and family, pilates and riding her horses.

Holly McLean

Holly grew up and completed her schooling in Emerald and is delighted to be home caring for the community that shaped her. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at James Cook University in Cairns, with valuable clinical placements in Townsville and Thursday Island. Holly has a genuine love for teeth and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She takes particular pride in creating a calm, welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, supported, and cared for. Outside the clinic, Holly enjoys the outdoors and unwinding with hobbies including baking, crocheting, and gardening.

Dr Niels Kirsten

Dr Niels Kirsten is an experienced dentist with a strong focus on surgical, implant and restorative dentistry.

Originally from Townsville in North Queensland, he began his career in healthcare at James Cook University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing Science in 2010. He worked as a registered nurse in rural and remote communities across Far North Queensland, gaining extensive clinical experience in patient care and complex medical management. This early experience in healthcare continues to shape his comprehensive and patient-centred approach to dentistry.

Dr Niels later returned to James Cook University to complete his Bachelor of Dental Surgery, graduating in 2015 and following in his father’s footsteps into the dental profession. Growing up in a dental practice provided early exposure to clinical dentistry and fostered a strong interest in surgical and restorative treatment from a young age.

Since graduating, Dr Niels has pursued extensive postgraduate training to further develop advanced clinical skills in implant and restorative dentistry. He completed a Graduate Diploma in Implantology and has undertaken advanced prosthodontic and aesthetic training through a Mini-Residency in Prosthodontics. This training focuses on comprehensive treatment planning, occlusion, full-mouth rehabilitation and advanced restorative techniques for complex functional and aesthetic cases.

Dr Niels has a particular interest in implant dentistry and comprehensive restorative treatment. His clinical scope includes dental implants, full-arch implant rehabilitation, bone grafting procedures, surgical wisdom tooth removal, complex extractions and aesthetic restorative dentistry. He enjoys managing complex cases that require a multidisciplinary approach, combining surgical precision with detailed restorative planning to achieve predictable long-term outcomes for his patients.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Dr Niels regularly undertakes further training and advanced education to remain at the forefront of modern implant and restorative dentistry. His approach focuses on careful diagnosis, detailed treatment planning and delivering high-quality outcomes while ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed and confident throughout their treatment journey.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Niels enjoys spending quality time with his son and family and making the most of the Queensland outdoor lifestyle.
